Your CloudWatch dashboards. Right on your Home Screen.
CloudPeek turns the graphs, numbers and alarms on your Amazon CloudWatch dashboards into iPhone and iPad widgets. Nothing to rebuild and no servers to run: pin what you already have and see it at a glance, all day.
Works with any CloudWatch metric, including metric math, SEARCH expressions and Metrics Insights queries.
How it works
From dashboard to Home Screen in three steps.
01
Sign in, your way
Use an IAM access key, checked with sts:GetCallerIdentity before you go, or sign in with IAM Identity Center in your browser and pick an account and role. Sessions refresh themselves.
No AWS account handy? Explore the built-in sample dashboards.
02
Pin any widget
Open one of your dashboards and every widget is drawn exactly as it will look on your Home Screen. Tap Pin on the graphs, numbers and alarm lists you want to keep an eye on.
03
Add it to your Home Screen
Add the CloudWatch Dashboard widget, choose which pin it shows, and preview it at every size first. Tap it any time to jump straight to that widget on its dashboard.

Every widget type
Every CloudWatch view, redrawn for iOS.
Lines, stacked areas, bars, pies, numbers, gauges, tables, text and alarm status, drawn natively with SwiftUI and Swift Charts in your dashboard's own colours, with its thresholds and axis limits.
Lock Screen widgets put the latest value first, so p99 latency, this month's spend or CPU is one glance away. Choose rectangular, circular or inline. They keep refreshing while your phone is locked.
Gauges become iOS gauges; numbers, bars and alarms show their headline value.
A short title, so several widgets are easy to tell apart.
A clear warning when the value is old or you need to sign in again.

Built for on-call
Something you can trust at 3 a.m.
A widget that quietly shows yesterday's numbers is worse than no widget. Every detail is designed so you always know what you're looking at.
Always honest about freshness
Every widget shows the time window it covers. If a refresh fails, it keeps the last good data and says why and how old it is, at every size. Data older than a day fades so it can't pass for current.

Refreshes on your schedule
Every 30 minutes by default, whenever you open the app, and from each widget's own refresh button. After a network or AWS hiccup it tries again within minutes.
Never pays twice
Data loaded in the last five minutes, by the app or another widget, is reused instead of being fetched and billed again.
Recovers without fuss
When a session expires, Sign In Again opens pre-filled from the banner, the widget or the account's details, and swaps in new credentials without touching a single pinned widget.
Every size, previewed first
Small, medium, large and extra large on iPad, plus rectangular, circular and inline on the Lock Screen.

Tap to dig in
Tap a widget to open its dashboard, scrolled right to it. Pin the same widget again and Home Screen widgets that showed it reconnect.
Faithful queries
Read exactly the way CloudWatch reads them.
You don't have to recreate graphs in another tool. The app reads your dashboard's own JSON and queries it the way the console does, so the widget on your phone matches the one on your screen.
Your AWS account deserves better than a mystery backend. CloudPeek talks to AWS directly from your device and asks for nothing it doesn't need. Read the privacy policy.
Read-only by design
Four CloudWatch read permissions are all it needs. You can also use the AWS-managed CloudWatchReadOnlyAccess policy.
Credentials live in the iOS Keychain on this device only. They never leave it except to sign requests to AWS, and removing an account removes them.
Straight to AWS
Requests go from your iPhone directly to AWS, with no proxy servers and no third-party SDKs. The app signs every request itself with SigV4.
No tracking
No analytics, no ads and no data collected. There isn't even an account to create.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
How do I get started?
Follow the setup guide. It builds a spend-by-service dashboard and a read-only sign-in for CloudPeek, step by step in the AWS console or in one go with a CloudFormation template.
Do I need to change my dashboards?
No. Pin widgets from the dashboards you already have. When you edit a dashboard in the CloudWatch console, its widgets pick up the change on their next refresh.
What does it cost to run?
Each refresh makes one GetMetricData call per region in the widget, which AWS bills at $0.01 per 1,000 metrics requested. A 5-metric widget refreshing every 30 minutes costs about 7 cents a month. Data fetched in the last five minutes is reused, not fetched again.
Which permissions does it need?
Read-only access: cloudwatch:ListDashboards, GetDashboard, GetMetricData and DescribeAlarms, or the AWS-managed CloudWatchReadOnlyAccess policy. We recommend a dedicated IAM user or IAM Identity Center permission set. Sign-in checks that it can read CloudWatch before finishing. The setup guide walks through both, or does it for you with CloudFormation.
Does it work with IAM Identity Center (SSO)?
Yes. Enter your AWS access portal URL, approve the request in your browser, then choose an account and role. Credentials refresh automatically, in the app and in the widgets, until your organisation's session limit. After that the widget asks you to sign in again.
Can I try it without an AWS account?
Yes. Choose Explore with sample dashboards on the sign-in screen to try every widget type with built-in example data.
Why don't I see my billing data?
Billing metrics only exist in us-east-1, and they need Receive CloudWatch billing alerts turned on in the AWS Billing console. The setup guide shows where.
Is anything not supported yet?
Logs Insights, Metrics Explorer and custom (Lambda) widgets show as unsupported for now. Series on a right-hand y-axis are drawn against the left axis, and dashboard variables use their saved defaults.
Put your dashboards where you'll actually see them.
Sign in, pin a widget, and add it to your Home Screen.
